News from the Center for Sustainable Practice in the Arts

1. The magazine CSPA Quarterly explores sustainable arts practices in all genres (performance, visual art & installation, music, and film/video) and policy. It serves as a formal terrain for members of the network to discuss and evaluate diverse points of view, while celebrating innovations and sustainable movements. 2. CSPA is welcoming applications for Round Two of the CSPA Supports MicroGrant. The CSPA Supports grant program is designed to support the projects of CSPA members as they consider issues of sustainability (ecological, economic, or cultural) in their professional work. Artists from all genres are encouraged to apply: Visual Art/Installation, Live Performance, Public Art, and/or Digital Work. The deadline is September 1st, 2011. 3.  To focus on the environmental impact of production at the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space this this summer, CSPA is planning a design-based performance piece to redistribute (would be wasted) materials to the local arts community.
